Lowest Monthly Internet Plans by Broadband Service Providers Detailed

Broadband connection has become one of the most important aspects of our lives, especially at difficult times. Atria Convergence Technologies (ACT) has various high-speed data plans which cater to the needs of both low and heavy broadband users. ACT Fibernet plans vary as per the city. As of Bengaluru circle, ACT Swift is the cheapest plan which is priced at Rs 710 per month. Under the plan, ACT offers 40 Mbps internet speed up to 200GB. Once the data limit is over, internet-speed reduces to 512Kbps. There are no additional benefits offered by the company in Swift plan.

Zee5 In World’s Top 10 List Of Most Downloaded Video Streaming Apps In June

Homegrown on-demand video service platform Zee5 has been named one of the top 10 most downloaded streaming app worldwide in June 2020, along with other giants like YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos, Disney+ and others. According to the ‘State of Internet Traffic Trend’ report by ACT Fibernet, India saw a 55% hike in overall streaming traffic during the Covid-19 resultant lockdown between March to May. Interestingly, unlike pre-Covid times, there is no significant difference in traffic during the weekdays and weekends. On the contrary, the platforms are noting a much greater hike on the weekdays. The report highlights that there is a 73% hike on weekdays and a 65% increase during the weekend.

Indian Broadband Service Providers Lost 160,000 Subscribers in April

The Indian wired broadband service providers lost 160,000 subscribers in April, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) highlighted in a report on Friday. According to the Trai report, the fixed broadband subscriber base in India dipped to 19.02 million in April as compared to 19.18 million in March. It has to be noted that India was under intense lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic since March 24. Atria Convergence Technologies recorded a subscriber base of 1.59 million in April as compared to 1.61 million in March. The operator lost 0.02 million or 20,000 subscribers in April.
