ACT Fibernet has entered into a partnership with the Greater Chennai Corporation to rollout free Wi-Fi zones in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The initiative has been undertaken as a part of the government’s smart city project, which is being executed by the Greater Chennai Corporation. It aims to provide free Wi-Fi connectivity to citizens. Under the partnership, over 25 Wi-Fi zones have been installed across prime locations in the city including 14 Amma canteens across 15 zones in Greater Chennai Corporation.
