What is a suitable internet connection for working from home?

If you operate from home, we suggest a minimum download speed of 50 to 100 Mbps and a minimum upload speed of 10 Mbps if you upload big files to the internet. If you're working from home alone and won't be uploading huge files, such as streaming on YouTube, attending video conferences, or providing graphic designs to clients, we think you'll be fine with at least 50 Mbps.

What can you do to improve your speeds while working from home?

Restart your router if necessary. Restarting your router clears any errors in its memory that could be disrupting or slowing down your internet connection.

Purchase a new router. It might be time to update your router if it is older. Newer routers are better suited to maintain a fast internet connection.

Check your router's location: is it in the middle of the room, away from any obstacles that may obstruct wifi signals?

Increase the strength of your WiFi signal – a better signal means faster WiFi.
Check for router updates; a router that is both modified and secured performs best.

Invest in Managed WiFi to relieve yourself of the burden – you won't have time to manually monitor your entire network and all of your linked devices if you're busy working.
