Reliance Jio is on the verge of commercially launching its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service, Jio GigaFiber, in India. The telecom operator is already providing the service in metros. This also signals towards a new wave of intense competition in India in the broadband sector, which has already alerted the other broadband service providers.
